The dual-power heating rod features two power settings and three wires. It is a custom-manufactured product for heating radiator manufacturers. During the preheating phase, full power is applied for rapid heating; during the insulation/maintenance phase, only one of the two power settings is used, which saves energy and extends the service life.

Dry-Burning Type Single-Ended Heating Tube

First, the operating temperature must be confirmed. Different materials should be selected based on the temperature range:

0–250°C approx.: Shell material – Stainless steel 201; Magnesium oxide powder – low-temperature grade; Heating wire – Fe-Cr-Al alloy or Ni-Cr alloy.

250–400°C: Shell material – Stainless steel 304; Magnesium oxide powder – medium-temperature grade; Heating wire – Fe-Cr-Al alloy or Ni-Cr alloy.

400–550°C: Shell material – Stainless steel 321; Magnesium oxide powder – high-temperature grade; Heating wire – Fe-Cr-Al alloy or Ni-Cr alloy.

Above 550°C: Shell material – Stainless steel 2520 or imported tube materials; Magnesium oxide powder – high-temperature grade; Heating wire – Fe-Cr-Al alloy or Ni-Cr alloy 2080.

Additionally, based on space constraints or different tube diameters, ensure that the surface load is not excessive. Do not pursue excessively high power, as this will significantly reduce the service life of the heating tube.

Single-Ended Heating Tube Design and Custom Shell Selection

Voltage & Power: Voltage – 12V to 440V; Power – to be determined through consultation between the customer and our company.

Tube Diameter: Can be customized from 4.5mm to 30mm as per customer requirements.

Tube Length: Non-standard customization (minimum 30mm).

Heating Tube Materials: Main materials include 10# carbon steel, SUS304, SUS321, SUS316L, stainless steel with coating (scale-resistant treatment), titanium tubes, etc.

Heating Wire Selection: Generally Fe-Cr-Al wire (from Beijing Shougang) or Ni-Cr wire (2080 resistance wire). The choice between these two depends on the customer's operating temperature environment.

Other Considerations: Working environment, terminal or lead wire length (standard: 200mm), whether threaded mounting is required (thread size), and the diameter and length of the flexible metal conduit, etc.

Precautions for Using Single-Ended Heating Tubes

The operating voltage must not exceed the rated voltage by more than 10%.

The mold hole diameter must not exceed the heating tube diameter by more than 0.15mm.

The heating tube must fit tightly into the mold hole; exposure that may cause dry burning is strictly prohibited.

If the packaging is damaged, the product may absorb moisture. It will automatically recover after heating. Please store properly and use with confidence!
